Multicolor berber blanket

Our blankets were woven by Berber tribes of women in the Moroccan Middle Atlas. They originally used them to cover themselves and protect themselves from the cold. Each blanket is unique, inspired by the woman who made it.

These large vintage Berber plaids are both bright and colourful. Made from a blend of cotton and wool, each one is unique. Their size may be irregular due to their handmade nature.

Because they are old, these blankets can sometimes have imperfections, which makes them all the more precious and rare. We take great care in selecting them, which we do ourselves in Morocco. Note that they have sometimes been patched by hand. There may be a snag, a stain, a small hole or a frayed edge. These are natural signs of wear and tear, not defects. We love their unique mix of colours. We love their tight weave that stays supple. 

It's up to you to invent a new life for them, whether as a sofa or armchair or bed throw, a blanket or even a tablecloth. You can also use them to dress up a small armchair, chair or footstool. Take them on a trip or to the beach, they'll be perfect as picnic tablecloths! This plaid is a perfect eco-responsible decorative item that will add a touch of bohemian chic to your living room or bedroom.
