Our clutch bag is part of the slow fashion movement, which is very important to us. It's eco-responsible because it's made from a vintage Berber Kilim cushion, which we're giving a second life. We buy the Kilim cushions in Morocco, then the bags are assembled by an association of Moroccan women with disabilities.
Fabrics with incredible patterns, woven by women in the Moroccan High Atlas, each tell their own story. We wanted to give them a second life by transforming them into bags, pouches or pencil cases. They are all unique and represent the memory and identity of the people who weave them. Each tribe has its own style, and their motifs are a form of symbolic writing inherited from ancient Berber cultures.
Lined with wax-printed cotton, our clutches are as pretty on the inside as they are on the outside, because every detail counts for us.This handmade bag made from recycled wool and cotton is a stylish, eco-friendly choice for anyone looking to add an ethical, fair-trade touch to their wardrobe. With its sleek design, this bag blends style with environmental protection.
It's an easy-care bag. Stains can be removed with a damp cloth and mild soap. Don't machine wash it, and avoid drying it in the sun to preserve its colours. Due to the totally handmade nature of this clutch, and unlike mass-produced bags, its imperfections and colour variations are part of its history and add to its uniqueness, beauty and value.
Please note that some sequins may be slightly rusty due to the age of the hair cushion used to make it.
